Naylor support National Apprentice Week
Ryan Senior (Polymer Apprentice, Injection Moulding/Fabrications, Cawthorne) – “I started a Level 2 polymer apprenticeship within injection moulding based at Cawthorne back in August 2015. Originally observing tool changes but now fully active in all aspects of tool installation, maintenance and setup. I’m looking forward to getting involved with the technical side of injection moulding, fault finding and diagnosis as my apprenticeship continues.
I’m also involved with booking production onto stock and completing OEE and FEMA analysis on a daily basis. I enjoyed my last project from college which was based on understanding how melt flow index is used in our industry. I worked in the lab for a day carrying out MFI and tensile tests on products that are produced in injection moulding.”
Josh Yeardley (Polymer Apprentice, Wath) – “I’m really enjoying being a Naylor apprentice, learning new things every day and working on the production lines making different products every week. I particularly enjoy the challenge of tool-setting and the removal and installation of the various tooling required to manufacture so many different products, each time I do it I become a little quicker which is good. The Naylor staff are friendly and offer me support when I need it.”
