Leading UK pipe manufacturer Naylor – a Yorkshire based family business, which has been manufacturing pipes since 1890 – has acquired the plastic pipe and tube business of Tipton based Rateoval Limited.

Rateoval specialises in manufacturing tubing from 2mm to 200mm and the company’s particular strength is its flexibility: the business is able to manufacture bespoke pipes and tubes for an infinite range of applications.  Naylor’s origins are in clay drainage, although recent years have sent eh company develop a significant polyethylene (HDPE) land drain and ducting business.  The acquisition brings Naylor capabilities in additional materials such as PVC, ABS and LDPE.

The business, renamed Naylor Specialist Plastics, becomes a division of Naylor Drainage Ltd and will be headed up by Rateoval MD Roger Evans who has joined Naylor.  Manufacturing will continue in the West Midlands and investment is already underway to meet the anticipated demands of a growing market.

Wakefield based Naylor Lintels, a member of the Naylor Group of Companies, have introduced a new line to their extensive range of Padstones.

The comprehensive range of dense concrete Padstones include standard sections ranging from 100x140x100mm to 440x215x290mm.

Specialist angled Padstones are also available.  This addition to the Padstone range can be manufactured to any internal or external angle with any leg length.
